Secret Project!

Last July, I complimented our neighbors when they showed me a completed Paint by Number project. A few days later, LeAnn showed up at our door gifting me an unused set. I was a bit intimidated at first and busy with other projects. Finally, on November 28th, 2020, I began this project, and I completed it on January 23rd, 2021. I worked on it for 20 sessions, averaging about 2 hours per session. I took a picture after each session. Have you ever done a Paint by Number project? I’ll have more to say about this project in a later post. For now, enjoy the transformation!

    • Thank you. If I do it again, I would stand it up and take the picture rather than having it lay flat on the table. I like your idea to do that for your cross stitch! Thanks for reading, and enjoy your day!

    • There are some beautiful pictures available. There are also Facebook groups for paint by number. I learned that as well about places that can change a photograph into a paint by number. I have an idea to get a really pretty picture of our travel trailer in a scenic area, like a river and some trees, and then have it as a paint by number. I actually really enjoyed doing this. sometimes I would listen to podcasts while painting. It was very relaxing. Thanks for reading, and enjoy your day!

  1. Absolutely amazing. I admire your abilities and what you achieve. I struggle to draw a stick figure and I know I can’t paint within the lines. My wife would love to do something like this but our question always is “where do we put it once it is done”? And the time lapse, that is fantastic. Keep up the wonderful work. Enjoy your week.

    • Thank you! For the answer of what we will do with it, you’ll have to read my post on Saturday. 😊. By the way, they do make smaller paint by numbers. Have a great week, too.

  2. Lovely to see your work in progress become a nice piece of artwork. I’ve never done a paint by numbers though I did buy one to attempt during Lockdown. Too nervous about starting it as I fear it will be a bit like Hobbytex and I will go outside the lines. ( which takes me back to a fear of having our knuckles rapped when we coloured outside the lines in kindy many, many moons ago.)

  3. Beautiful – I enjoyed watching your progress! I’ve enjoyed a few of the classes where you gather and paint a guided project in an hour or two, but I’m not a Picasso!
