Yep! This week we successfully made our Michigan reservations for Summer 2021! Pentwater here we come! Again!
Did I mention Dan is 6’8″? I don’t think a day has gone by when we are out and about when someone doesn’t mention his height. “How tall are you?” “Did you play basketball?” Dan is always good-natured even though he has heard these questions countless times. He will, however, once in a while, reply back that he is 5 foot twenty. The funny thing is sometimes the person says back, “No, you gotta be taller than that! You’re at least 6 foot.”
Something to look forward to with eager anticipation. Good for you. Have a great day.

Pentwater sounds wonderful! I have cousins in Glen Arbor near Sleeping Bear Dunes. I have been going there off and on to visit since I was a little girl. More recently, my niece and her husband took over Falling Waters Lodge in Leland, MI, also in the Traverse City area. I have to say it is not easy to get there from Minneapolis. A 13 hour drive going south through Chicago, or north across the U.P. I have taken the ferry a few times, but that does not save any time and you have to get up super early to get there in time. And then rentals are expensive when you get there. We are hoping to buy an RV in the next year, so I hope that we’ll take an RV trip to Michigan.

I have visited Sleeping Bear Dunes, the upper peninsula and taken the Badger – but only one time for all three, and all those things were very long ago. So, I want to revisit again. Yes, the rentals are expensive – short season and big demand! I hope that you take that RV trip to Michigan, too! We are hoping to spend more time in Michigan during the summers down the road. Right now, I don’t want to be gone too long from home. But, two weeks is pretty good! I want to see Pictured Rocks. My dad was from Grand Rapids which we always visited as children, but I’d like to visit the area again. My uncle (who has passed) loved Leland. He had a “shack” in Baryton. My cousin loves Ponchos Pond in Ludington. It will be fun to share our blogs about our RV travels. Good luck with your RV research and purchase. I am happy to give my “opinion” should you have any questions about it all. I’m not an expert by any means, just have a bit of experience. Thanks for reading, and enjoy your day!

I lived in Grand Rapids from an infant until third grade. After that we moved to Minneapolis where both of my parents were from. Thanks for the offer of RV advice, I will certainly take you up on that when the time comes.

6’8” is tall! I’d “maybe” come up to just below his chest. Great humorous angle on this shot! So wonderful that you have Michigan to look forward to! Hope your day is fab!

My husband is also pretty tall, not as tall as yours though. Mine is 6’4″. I am about 5’7″, which makes it great that he is a lot taller because I can finally wear heels. 😆

That is so weird to me that people would have thought I was short! 🙂 You are not the first reader of my blog to say this! Thanks for reading, and enjoy your day!
