  1. I like Mark Twain. The more I travel, the more I realize that much of what we imagine to be true is in our head and until we land on the ground-we see the truth. I had some fears of visiting the UAE, South Korea, etc. and travelling alone but once I did, wow. I can only hope that we will have travelling overseas will also remain the same. I do think it is now a great time to explore the United States.

  2. I like Twain’s quote about writing. He didn’t think he was particularly good at it, but he kept writing because people kept reading.

Have you and Dan been to Hannibal, MO, Twain’s adopted home town? There’s plenty of interesting stuff to see and do around there. I think there’s even a state park with camping access.

    • Hi David. Yes, we’ve been to Hannibal – a number of times. But, it has been awhile, so we will likely visit again sometime. Another quote that I did not include said something along the lines that some authors writings were wine, but his were water, and most people drink water. There’s more to come about Mark Twain. 🙂 Enjoy your weekend!

  3. I always learn something from you. Lived in Florida most my life and never knew there was a Florida, Missouri. I knew Mark Twain was from Missouri, but Florida…go figure. I wonder, does it gets hot there in the summer? Are there alligators hiding in the swamps? Are there any swamps? Do they give away free orange juice when you come into town? Maybe I’ll have to go there one day and find out for myself.

    Thanks for sharing.
    Happy days and safe travels.

    • I can tell you first hand, it gets hotter than hot in Florida, Missouri! But no, they don’t have alligators in swamps drinking free orange juice. You and everyone else would have probably heard of Florida, Missouri if they did! Enjoy your day, and safe travels, too!
