David, you are always more than welcome to borrow my photos. Thanks for the credit and the link. I enjoy your haikus and writing them back. Enjoy your Saturday!
I am sure everyone had different first thoughts, and it could be interesting to read what they were. Whatever the thought, it is definitely an odd tree!
This one has left me pondering. A gentleman extending an umbellar? A compassionate individual pointing out the right way to go? Or just a tree with no top! I love pictures like this. They make you think. Thanks and have a great day
Almost toothless tree
What tales can you tell to me?
Such resiliency!

What’s the story here?
Will we ever know the truth?
Nature wants to live.

I borrowed your picture to publish my Haiku on my poetry site. Credited you for the photo and gave a link to Chambers on the road.

For some reason, my first thought was the one-armed man from the TV series, “The Fugitive “ … possibly dating myself a bit

I wonder what this tree endured to turn out like this. A good example for all of us. Enjoy your Saturday!

I’m surprised the truck isn’t leaning to one side. I hope it doesn’t fall on an unsuspected picnicer when it finally gives way under the weight.

Yes, it is kind of amazing how the tree is standing. This is at a KOA campground, so hopefully, nobody will be picnicking under the tree.
