Hi Terry. This was at the “Fete de Glace” here in St. Charles. They have an ice carving contest each January down on Main Street. The ice carvings are very impressive, but this one stood out. ha ha. Enjoy your day!
Wow, you have really out done yourself this time! No wonder Dan is jealous. Going to store it in the freezer this summer? Now, don’t tell me this isn’t your handiwork. Oh no, I couldn’t bear to hear that. Well, anyway it is really neat. Have a good day.

Yes, it did not last long. We ate a late lunch and walked back through the street when we were done. The festival was over at that point, and already most of the carvings were meeting their demise. The weather was a beautiful, sunny day, and the carvings were impressive. We really enjoyed the day!
An ice carving of a dog? I’ve seen many ice carvings in my lifetime but never one of a dog! Where was this, Betty?

I find ice carving so interesting, just like street painters. How they know it will only last for a short while, yet they still give their best.
