  1. I love this carving! I remember, as a kid, pushing on the lever in the back to make his arms go up and down so he could take drinks from the bottle and bites of bread.

    • David, you have a very good memory. Yes, my dad made a number of wood carvings. It does remind me of some of the things he made. However, this is not one of them. It is a souvenir I bought when I toured Europe. I think it came from Italy. There is a lever on the back which makes the arms move. I bought another one as a gift. On that one, there were two people who turned and kissed when the lever was pulled down. My dad’s birthday is coming up, so I need to start thinking about his birthday post. Thanks for the reminder!
