Spider with with a spider and the sun shining through

On a whim, I entered this photo in Echo Bluff’s photo contest. Echo Bluff is a Missouri state park we visited a while back.

I was notified that I am a finalist in the contest. Now, I’m not sure how many finalists there are; it could be that everyone is a finalist. However, this is the first time I’ve been a finalist. As such, if you are so inclined, please vote for my picture. I don’t expect to win, but I have enough spirit to try. The voting ends March 27, 2022.

First prize is a brand new car!

Not really.

    • Thank you, Terry. It is kind of confusing. I chatted with the state park for clarification before I posted, but they just gave me a link to what I had already read. When you click the link, you should see my photo at the top. From there, you click “Rally Votes.” This I think is a vote. From there you can share on social media – if you want – by clicking on the icons for Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter. But if you don’t want to share, that is fine. I don’t do much on social media at all. I am glad you think there is much to love about this photo! The rest (all the voting stuff) is gravy. Enjoy your day!

    • Wow! What? You’re not going to use it?? Lol. I’ll chat with the park and ask them if it can be transferred. I’ll let you know. Thanks for voting and offering to transfer your certificate.

    • Congrats! Does your cousin with the camper ever travel this way? I have asked Echo Bluff if the certificate is transferable and if it is good for the campground. I’ll let you know when I hear back. Or if I win the car. 😉

      • She has not so far, but says she is planning to do so. It looks like it can be used for a discount on any of the facilities, as they all show up (lodge, cabins, campground) when you check for dates. It does not say how much of a discount, but still, it is a nice perk “for special friends of the park”–guess that was for participating in the vote. However, the park is indeed beautiful–nay, stunning! and I think Rand and I should make a trip to the area.

        • That would be great for you all to visit! I think that’s exactly what the park had in mind. I hope it’s a good discount. I love our Missouri State Parks. Let me know if you have any questions I can answer!
