How wonderful to meet up with a fellow blogger! I’ve met a few of my “cyber friends” in person and it’s always been an extremely positive experience.

Thanks, Terry. This is only the second time I have met a fellow blogger. Both times were a fantastic experience. Maybe someday I will be lucky enough to meet you!

Betty, what a delightful interlude and beaut that all of you made the effort to meet up. All connections take effort. Unfortunately, so many of us don’t bother for a variety of reasons, right or wrong.
Nice to read such a happy post….

Yes, you are right. All connections take effort. It was worth it. We had a wonderful time and made some good memories. Bill’s blog is very folksy – he is a good writer and has a warm sense of humor. He deserves to have more followers and more views (although I don’t really know how many views he has) and more comments. His pictures are awesome! He visits some very interesting places – some are quite unique. And he is always upbeat. What more could a reader want!

We met some of our favorite friends when we were full time RVing. We still keep in touch.
So fun for y’all and On the Road of Retirement!

Thanks, Marty. Bill took all those pictures. My cell phone camera doesn’t capture the sunset very well, but Bill’s camera sure did! Hope you have a great day!

Meeting fellow bloggers is a joyfully memorable experience. I must say “the Betty” has garnered many fans, me included, and is achieving celebrity status. I enjoyed the read and agree with all that was written about Dan and you. Keep the blogs coming. 😊

Thank you, Grampa. I am a big fan of you. Dan and I so enjoyed our time with you and Grammi. When I see a post by you in the reader, I always know I am in for a treat. Always well written and with beautiful and crisp photographs. My goal for the blog is not celebrity status, but rather, a blog I am proud of. One with quality writing and a positive voice which I hope will entertain, uplift and inspire others. Just like your blog!

I’m so happy to read this! For some reason I haven’t been getting notices of your posts and I was getting worried. Decided to check on you today- and here you are! Happy Travels!

Hi Cathy! I’m glad you found me again. That has happened to me, too, – where I get unsubscribed, and I didn’t unsubscribe! We’ve been traveling, so I am behind with blogging. It may take a while, but I will catch up with your posts, too!

I almost drove by Pentwater, MI on Thursday, July 27, on my way to Traverse City. My friend and my sister and I had driven from Minneapolis on Wednesday and stayed at my son’s condo in Chicago Wednesday night. The three of us drove from Chicago to Muskegon where we dropped my sister off. My friend and I continued on to Traverse City, but I think it took us on a route farther east. Driving along the coast would have been wonderful, but we were behind schedule so we needed to get there as fast as possible as 2 other friends had arrived at Traverse City airport at 12:20. Between forgetting about the time change and having to go off route to drop my sister off (not in the original plan) we were going to be 2 1/2 hours late, so the friends arriving at the airport had to take an uber from the airport to get some lunch and kill time while they waited for us. oops. If I had known you were in Pentwater we might have taken the longer router and made the other friends wait even longer!

Oh my gosh! You were so close! It would have been great to meet you. I wouldn’t want to inconvenience your friends though. We are usually in Michigan the last two weeks of July every year – God willing. So, keep that in mind should you find yourself that way again. I hope you had a great time while you were in Michigan and had fun with your friends. Our paths could easily cross sometime in the future!

That would be so fun! It could happen. My cousin lives in Glen Arbor, and my niece and her husband own and run Falling Waters Lodge in Leland. My friends all want to go back to that area as there were so many things we did not have time to do, but we’ll see if that ever happens. However I know I will be going that way again.

Awesome! I think it could happen, too! I have visited north of Pentwater, but it has been some time. I hope we will be able to spend time exploring that area before too long. I look forward to reading about all you did and all the things you wanted to do but didn’t have time. I just love Michigan.
