Italian Chicken – Slow Cooker Recipe

Here’s a recipe for a delicious, easy dinner made in the slow cooker.

Bag of frozen chicken breasts, bottle of Worchestire Sauce, package of spaghetti seasoning mix, can of diced tomatoes, a can opener and a coaster which says, "Laugh Often."
Don’t Forget Your Can Opener!
  • Chicken. You actually can use any kind. We like the boneless, skinless chicken breasts. I used 4 frozen breasts.
  • 1 package Spaghetti Seasoning Mix
  • 1T. Worchestire Sauce. Since I made this while camping, I didn’t have my measuring spoons, so I had to wing it. Ha Ha!
  • 1 can Diced Tomatoes. I used the kind from Aldi which are seasoned with Garlic, Basil and Oregano; however, any kind will do.

Since we were camping, I used a liner for the slow cooker. Aldi usually sells these every Fall; I buy enough to last for the year. I only use the liners when I use the slow cooker in the camper.

Who doesn’t want fast, easy clean up?

In the slow cooker, mix the diced tomatoes, the spaghetti seasoning mix, and the Worchestire Sauce. Then add the chicken. Spoon the sauce over the chicken. Cover and cook on low for at least 6 hours.

To complete the meal, we like to add green beans and some kind of pasta. We like the Parmesan Angel Hair pasta from Aldi, but any kind of pasta will do. Put some of the sauce on the pasta and the green beans, and transform these common sides into delectable dishes.

If you want to be even fancier, you can add some Parmesan or Mozzarella cheese on top of the chicken at serving time.

Serve and enjoy.

  1. Looks good, Betty! I would probably substitute Italian herbs for the sauce mix, but I have everything I need since I’m fulltiming. I’m back in the States now so I’ll be back to commenting and blogging too, soon!

    • If you try it, I hope you like it. I have a number of slow cookers, so we keep one in the camper. It has worked out really well. It’s nice to have most of dinner made after a day of fun. Hope you have a great week!

    • The sink in our travel trailer (it is a double) isn’t the best for cleaning a larger pot, so I love those liners, too! I hope you like the recipe. It is easy! I am a big fan of easy, crock pot meals.
